    Riesling
  • Aromatically there are orange blossoms, honeysuckle and jasmine. On the palate it's a real citrus fiesta with sweet lemon, limes and mandarins. There is also an element of minerality about the wine with subtle notes of stone fruit and almonds. The sugar acid balance is described as 'off dry' and the finish is clean making this a good aperitif and food wine.

Lovely fruit here: a bit limey with some smoothness to the texture. Gently smooth with elegance as well as some limey spiciness. 90/100

Winemaking

Carrick Riesling is a blend of grapes grown on the Carrick Lot 8 Vineyard in Bannockburn and fruit from the Bendigo sub-region. The wine was fermented cool and clean in tank. One ferment was stopped before dryness to provide the residual sugar for the blend, while the main lots were left to go dry and rest on fine lees.
