White peach, melon, leaf, toffee and creme caramel nose. Very drinkable with a lively perfumed palate, racy acidity and nougat on the long finish. Well-judged oak on this complex and multilayered wine. Drink 2011. 5/5 Stars.

Tumarumba is in New South Wales. So it's hot, you'd say. Well, no, in New South Wales terms it's positively icy (i.e on the cooler side of warm), hidden away in the Australian Alps. It's high up, and this gives this Chardie an insistent mouthwatering acidity and a fruit skin chewiness which never let go their grip of the mild peach and apricot fruit and the gentle spice of oak.
