Press ReviewPress

Fabulously complex rich fruit and spicy nose. Elegant and racy palate with cherry undertones. Beautifully creamy and elegant mousse and a very generous finale.

Gold MedalDecanter World Wine Awards

Shows lovely balance, with a chinalike backbone of acidity, finely meshed with a creamy mousse and rich and toasty flavors of roasted hazelnut, creamed apple, lemon parfait and spun honey. A vein of smoky minerality echoes on the finish. Drink now through 2028.

94/100Wine Spectator, Issue: Nov 30, 2013

Pale gold and most attractive on the nose with notes of citrus and putty but with admirable density on the palate and such brisk freshness without its tasting like jagged acidity. There is more than a nod to minerality. It tastes thoroughy modern somehow, in a good way. All the elements in this wine, which reminds me a little of the 1995, are beautifully integrated and yield a subtle, powerful finish. I'm sure it has a pretty glorious life ahead of it.

This outstanding champagne was produced in the cellars of the thirteenth century Saint-Nicaise Abbey in Reims. The greatest care is taken at every stage of production. "Comtes de Champagne" is only produced when all the conditions, essential to its unique style, are met, the harvest must be of exceptional quality and worthy of vintage champagne. It is made exclusively from white Chardonnay grapes from the most renowned vineyards of the Côte des Blancs. Only wines from the first pressing (La Cuvée) are used. This guarantees the wine's finesse. 5% of the wines used in the blend are aged in new oak barrels (one third of which are replaced every year), thus enhancing the intrinsic qualities of the final blend. . whilst allowing parts to become fully integrated. .
