This is not just the best wine in Moulis, but it is one of the best in the whole region, rivaling its own impressive 2000, and without a doubt Cru Classe standard. Jet black in colour, a smidgin of oak supports the intense blackcurrant and blackberry fruit on the appealing nose. Sweet, ripe, well-rounded fruit on the palate is buttressed by gentle tannins and a hint of liquorice on the finish. Made from 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, this reflects all of Moulis characteristic impeccable balance and high levels of sweetfruit. Drink 2009-2018.
