Press ReviewPress

‘Dark cherries, raspberries and plums, with some leather too. A complex wine, with good acidity and length,’ said Markus Dilger of MAD F&B Consulting, while Tate Catering’s Hamish Anderson described this as ‘creamy and textural, with dark plum notes, and rich tannins’.

Silver MedalSommelier Wine Awards 2017

Made from a blend of grapes that was typical in 1889: Corvina, Corvina Rizza and Corvinone, with a little 'foreign' Sangivetto Grosso, Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation begins on the skins, and finishes in traditional chestnut and cherry wood barrels (no oak), where the wine remains for subsequent ageing for a year.
