Product details

  • Variety

    Pinot Noir
  • Based on the East Devon border, a stone's throw from the Jurassic Coast, Lyme Bay has been making award-winning drinks for over 20 years. They began their English wine project in 2007, releasing their debut vintage in 2014. Since day one their ethos has always been 'quality first' and their efforts have been quickly recognised by a number of international awarding bodies.

Pinot Noir grapes are used to create a bright, fruit forward and elegant, yet approachable English sparkling wine. Secondary fermentation in bottle under the Traditional Method process provides structure to the mid-palate and detail to the body of the wine without overpowering the delicate fruit. A lovely palate, with apple, strawberry and cranberry fruit. Refreshing, with lovely pure clean bright berry fruit, gently toasty and very elegant.

The red wine was made from a small parcel of exceptionally ripe Burgundy clone Pinot Noir. It was hand harvested and sorted in the vineyard before being processed by gravity and given a five-day cold maceration. Our red wine was then blended with the Blanc de Noir cuvée to give a classy fruit driven Sparkling Rosé.

Food recommendation

Oysters and crab, fish and chips, smoked salmon, spicy dishes, berries and citrus desserts or simply on its own as the perfect aperitif.
