The complex and delicate bouquet displays green herb, cream and nutty characters. The palate is beautifully weighted and rounded with rich texture, bright acidity and an expansive finish. A very stylish and impressive Sauvignon with extra dimension. At its best: now to 2011. Excellent quality showing high level of concentration and balance. 90/100 4.5 stars.

Winemaking
The grapes were hand harvested in batches from our home block, and our new block at Dakins Road between 2nd and 5th April. The fruit was in good condition, with sugar levels of 23 brix. The new young vines, (including clones 316 and 317) gave juice with soft mango and lime characteristics, while the older vines from the home block supplied opulent gooseberry and tropical stone fruit flavours. The juice was cold settled and then tank fermented in separate batches. Both aromatic and neutral yeasts were used on the different batches. Fermentation was cool and steady. Following fermentation, the wine sat on yeast lees for about 3 months, prior to blending, fining, filtering and bottling
