James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2011
(37% verdelho, 32% viognier and 31% semillon, with no oak) Pale yellow. High-pitched, spicy citrus zest and green apple fruit aromas are complemented by white pepper and mint. Firm, focused and nervy on the palate, offering zesty lemon zest and bitter quince flavors and a deeper note of apple skin. Finishes with solid, faintly bitter grip and lingering minerality. This tight, focused wine will be very flexible with lighter foods. 88 points.Josh RaynoldsInternational Wine Cellar July 2010

Varieties: Verdelho (37%), Viognier (32%), Semillon (31%). All components were harvested relatively early in the season for maximum freshness and bright acidity. Minimal skin contact and cool fermentation on lees has heightened the mouth-feel of the wine. Bottled and released immediately after final blending. 2009 vintage notes: Langhorne Creek experienced a well-paced season with excellent conditions for ripening resulting in good flavour development and intensity. White varieties fared well this year with good crop levels. Limestone Coast experienced a dry vintage with minimal rain from January-March. Vineyard yields: 3 T/acre. Age of vines: 16 years
