Wines from southern Portugal's Alentejo region can be a little jammy at times, but this complex field blend of Aragones, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional is very sophisticated indeed. It's ripe and deeply coloured, but with complex, smoky flavours of plum and blackberrry, spicy oak, textured, well-rounded tannins and balancing acidity.
