  • Sourced from the Gallina Vineyard in the heart of the commune of Nieve this Barbera is one of the finest available. It has a rich deep colour and a wonderfully expressive nose. The palate is full with a great weight of fruit and considerable complexity. The acidity is characteristically high which helps cut through the richness of the fruit and gives the wine a wonderful balance.

Winemaking

Malolactic fermentation and the refining process take place in new French barriques, for approximately 16-18 month. Racking takes place several times to clarify the wine. Fining and filtration are not performed. Once bottled the wine is allowd to rest for 2 months before being released.
