From the same Kiwi stable as the fine Cabernet Franc recommended two weeks ago, this is similarly well made: crisply citric notes, but more rounded and fuller-flavoured than some. Try with scallop or prawns.

Harvested from our Kereru Rd vineyard on the banks of the Ngaruroro river in the Mangatahi district. Kereru Rd has free draining soils, low rainfall, warm days and cool nights which make it perfect for producing small bunches of flavoursome grapes. The majority of this wine came from terrace four which is warm and stony with a healthy portion of large “Mangatahi Swede” stones in the subsoil.
This wine is delicious as an aperitif, with chilled melons, asparagus and lamb, oysters, sole in lemon juice, fish and chips.
