Based in Barbera de la Conca in Catalonia,‘Concavins’ was a co-operative desperately in need of investment until 1988 when the Carbonell Figueras family took it over and began the development of a state of the art winery to do justice to the beautiful surrounding vineyards. Now with fantastic reception and vinification areas, underground ageing, cellars containing no less than 1300 barrels, and up to the minute bottling lines, steel tanks and presses, the wines are realising their true potential and have a vibrant, fruit-driven style.
