Château Vieux Robin

Medoc

Château Vieux Robin was founded in 1840 and is an 18 hectare property in the commune of Bégadain in the heart of the Médoc. Destroyed almost in its entirety by the frosts of '56, the efforts of current occupants Maryse and Didier Roba have since restored the vineyard to beyond its former glory.

The Bois de Lunier label was introduced in 1988 and is named after the collection of vines from which it originates. The complexity and richness of the wine is due to the extreme diversity of the soil (clay, sand and chalk) in which it is cultivated. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, Château Vieux Robin yields true "à la carte" wines which are smooth and powerful, with a rich red berry and vanilla flavour.
