Incorporating some of the best areas of the Chablis region, the domaine is run by brothers Sylvain and Didier, with father Bernard keeping a watchful eye on proceedings.

The focus here has been on taking careof the vineyard through improving soil structure, biological pest control and painstaking management of vegetation. In the cellar, everything is controlled fastidiously, and the utmost care is taken to avoid oxidation of the grape must. Most of the wines are aged without any use of oak, but the ripest and most powerful do see some maturation in barrel. In the vineyard as in the cellar, their aim is to minimise the impact on the environment; ensuring the evolution towards cleaner viticulture is one of their priorities. This work in the vineyard and cellar enables the potential of each "terroir" to fully express itself through fine, powerful and distinguished wines.

The superb Chablis Grand Cru Bougros comes from vines located at the top of the slope on the west/south-west extremity of the seven grands crus of Chablis, with excellent exposure to the sun.
