With a history that dates back to the 19th Century Il Poggione is now well placed to face the future. The vineyards, which are all south-facing and at an altitude of 200-400m above sea level, extend over 100 hectares, 60 of which are used for Brunello. A new winery has been constructed which sits between the vineyards, olive groves, arable and woodland, a veritable garden of Eden.
