Crotta di Vegneron (or 'cave of the winemaker' in the local dialect) is a 30 year old co-operative in the shadow of the alps in the Valle d'Aosta. They make wines from both local and international varieties. The muscat is typically aromatic, with unctuous perfume matched with a refreshingly dry and light finish, while the indigenous Fumin - a centuries old local grape offers intensity and amazing colour. It is a Tre Bicchieri winner in 2010.
