In 1781 the Sanchez Romate Sherry house laid down its firm’s Solera in Jerez de la Frontera, the hottest part of the Sherry country.The town of Jerez doesn’t have the influence of the maritime breezes, and the warmer climate affects the ageing process of the wines. With this in mind we’ve selected a range of wines that benefit from greater complexity and richness, such as their Oloroso, a Sherry to be sipped and savoured.
However, it is their superiority as producers of sensational sweet sherries, using the Pedro Ximénez grape, that sets their bodega apart from the rest. The PX Cisneros in particular is stunning: aged for over 15 years, it is incredibly dark and thick, with a taste of liquid Christmas pudding. Try it poured over vanilla ice cream or with chocolate puddings...
