Wine Training Courses
Our one day wine courses, with Richard Bampfield MW, have been specially designed to benefit everyone involved with serving wine. These courses are held at the Queensberry Hotel in Bath, from 9am to 5pm and will be held on the following dates in 2010:
- Monday 10th May 2010 (fully booked)
- Monday 14th June 2010
- Monday 11th October 2010
We believe this to be the only comprehensive course of its type, designed to promote better wine sales by increasing the wine knowledge and confidence of your staff.
Working in small groups of no more than 14 delegates, enabling a high level of participation and interaction, these one-day courses concentrate on the following areas:
- Key factors influencing wine style and quality (grape variety, region of origin, vintage/ age, winemaking, price)
- Matching food with wine
- Introduction to tasting technique
- Understanding your customer’s needs
- Wine Service (understanding the wine list, recommendations, complaints, glasses, temperature, pouring, decanting)
- Discussing wine list and layout design (how to improve profit margins and promoting slow-moving wines)
The price per delegate is £79.50 ex VAT and places are offered on a first come first served basis.
