Press ReviewPress

From Chile's Leyda Valley close to the cool influencing breezes of the Pacific Ocean, this is an intense dry white with attractively fresh pineappley flavours and crisp, refreshing cool climate acidity from a region that’s growing in confidence with its chablis-like, albeit more powerful, unoaked Chardonnays.

Winemaking

The grapes were hand harvested during the mornings of the first week of April at 23 º brix. They were carefully transported to the winery and then underwent to a gentle whole cluster pressing. The juice was chilled down to 8 º C and then gravity clarified in order to avoid oxidation and preserve the varietals aromas. The must was fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures (14-16C) for 25 days. The wine was left on its lees for 4 months with a battonage regime in order to get roundness and volume in the palate. Low yield and controlled irrigation deficit during maceration is used.
