Kooyong

Mornington Peninsula

Based in the cool climate Mornington Peninsula, 80km south of Melbourne, winemaker Sandro Mosele has crafted a reputation for the very best representation of Australian Pinot and Chardonnay.

The vineyard is split into five individual parcels with a variety of clones planted on some very different soils, and everything is done to enhance and express the natural characteristics of each parcel.

The best section of each vineyard is reserved for the Single Vineyard wines. The best of the remaining parcels are then selected to make the Kooyong Estate Blend wines of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The remaining parcels are then blended together to produce the Massale Pinot Noir and the Clonale Chardonnay.

At each level the wines represent fantastic value with an emphasis on vibrancy and elegance.

The "little Pinot Gris" we have been promising you has now arrived - a subtle, complex well-balanced wine, with ripe aromatic fruit, moderate alcohol and fresh acidity..

"This set of Victorian wines would blow a range of Burgundies out of the water. They’d rank up there with some premier cru Côtes de Beaunes."  Anthony Rose Decanter Buying Guide March 2010

5 red stars James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2009, 2010 & 2011 - "an outstanding winery, regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity."

In 2011 Halliday has included Kooyong in his list of the Best of the Best.
