Languedoc
Château Coujan
St Chinian
It is hard to imagine, when standing on the chalk hills of Château Coujan, 140m above sea level, that this was once an old coral area of the Mediterranean. The soil structure coupled with owner Florence Guy’s passion, certainly explain the quality of the wines.
Florence worked as a film editor in Paris before returning to the family business in the eighties. Her taste for the arts has certainly returned with her and the estate often welcomes comedians, musicians, sculptors and painters. Her wines astound in their pure aromas and sumptuous texture offering outstanding expressions of the little known Rolle grape.
A picture book setting, teeming with flowers, bees, bird life and deer which even boasts its own 17th Century chapel.
