It's hard to beat southern French reds for their rugged personality, especially at this price. This is serious, with aromas of toast, herbs and dark fruit. Similar notes on the alluringly deep palate, which is poised with fine tannins and crunchy red fruit. Great paired with some Christmas leftovers in front of the fire.
