  • Produced from all five of Perelada's best vineyards. A complex, rich and full bodied wine with good structure.

    Intense aromas of ripe fruit, with spicy and roasted notes. It is fleshy, well-structured wine with balsamic notes. It has a very fresh acidity and silky tannins. This is a well-balanced, creamy wine, pleasant in the mouth, with a long finish.

Grapes are de-stemmed, crushed and fermented separately. Pre-fermentation maceration lasts 24 hours at 15°C. Fermented in stainless steel tanks for 12 days at 24°C. A 10 day post fermentation maceration follows at 15-18°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is matured for 22 months in 225L barrels (French oak and American oak of which 50% are 1 to 5 year old barrels). The wine is fined, filtered and blended and once bottled it is matured in bottle for additional 12 months prior to release.

Food recommendation

Delicious with a slow cooked shoulder of lamb.
