Old Dry farmed vineyards in soft slopes of coastal mountains of Itata Valley. Ancestry viticulture, low intervention.

Additional Varieties

Pais 45% ; Grape Cinsault 45% ; Grape Malbec 5% ; Grape Cabernet Sauvignon 5%

Winemaking

Manual desteeming (by “zaranda) softly crushed by hands. Fermented in open tanks and macerated for 7 days before pressed in static press. Stay in stainless steel before blending for 6 months . Light filtered and bottled.

Press

  • País, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. Vegetal aromas but totally ripe, vivid red fruit - how interesting! Light bodied. I love the offbeat herby/mint character.

  • The NV Tinto Nitanto is a blend of País and Cinsault with some Malbec and Carignan from the zone of Florida in Itata that fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts where it's kept for some six months. It's a light red with 11.5% alcohol to make it easy to drink, mixing wines from different vintages. It has a very strong balsamic nose with plenty of aromatic herbs, which they tell me is quite common in this zone that is surrounded by native forests and plants. The palate is medium-bodied with some dusty tannins and a dry finish... Terroir Sonoro is the brainchild of Juan José Ledesma, a musician who ages the wines with different music!
