Tasting Note
It's easy to see why this is our bestselling red, with its lovely fruit, gentle texture and no hard edges. Well under a tenner and so very easy to drink!
Deep, still vibrant colour - hard to believe that it's over five years old. Blueberries, cherries and a little oak on the nose, leading to a very soft, medium-bodied texture in the mouth. Very gentle and rounded.
Even though it's good to go straight away, we really recommend letting it sit in the glass a few minutes (or decanting) before drinking. Doing this brings out its mellow maturity and authentic southern Italian identity. Balancing acidity and mellow tannins mean that you can drink now or keep for 1-2 years.

Enjoy!
I've been buying different vintages of this for a number of years and have yet to be disappointed. Reliably deep garnet colour, medium/full bodied, full of ripe fruit and soft tannins. Best to pour then leave for a few minutes whilst the combination of flavours aerate. Enjoy!

Biferno is a bestseller for a reason!
Biferno really can't be beaten. Superbly drinkable and very affordable. Something to keep stocked for 'any time' but drinks like a 'for special' wine. Delicious!

It’s a cracking wine (2010 and 2009 vintage reviews)
I finished a bottle of 2010, and then opened a 2009, so was able to compare side by side. I thought the 09 was a touch drier and more tannic, perhaps a better food wine. But they are both delicious.
