Wine Delivery

General Delivery Information

We're passionate about making sure your wine arrives on time and in pristine condition. When you checkout you can select whether you collect your wine from our shop, or have it delivered. Most orders are delivered within four working days but please say if you require quicker delivery as this can usually be achieved. Delivery will be made Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm. 

FREE delivery on orders that are £100 or more*

Delivery cost is £7.50 on all orders under £100 for UK mainland*.

Delivery cost is £15.00 on all order under £100 for Northern Ireland.

* Excludes; Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Scilly Isles.

  • Unfortunately we cannot offer delivery to addresses outside the UK, and do not deliver to the channel islands, Isle of Man or Scilly Isles.  
  • If you have supplied us with an email address, Parcelforce will email the day before delivery with the parcel tracking information.
  • If you have supplied us with a mobile number, Parcelforce will SMS text on the day of delivery with an estimated time of delivery. Please note this is not a guaranteed delivery timeslot.
  • If nobody is at home when Parcelforce deliver, they will attempt delivery to a neighbour. Parcelforce will not leave a parcel without a signature i.e. ‘leave in a safe place’ is not an option.
  • Deliveries are guaranteed, and fully insured by us until the goods arrive in your possession.
  • Our carrier will attempt delivery twice. If the recipient fails to accept the delivery or to respond to the calling cards, the wine will be held for one week at the nearest Parcelforce collection point. If the parcel is not collected after one week it will be returned to Great Western Wine. We unfortunately have to charge for delivery again if you need us to resend the wine. Every effort will be made to ensure the wine is delivered first time. However it is the recipient's responsibility to communicate convenient delivery dates to Great Western Wine or to our courier.
  • In some instances we may deliver your order via our own delivery vans. In this case we will be in touch to arrange a time and date as text and email notifications will not apply.

Click & Collect Options

Our free in-store collection service is available on via our website, or can be arranged by calling us on 01225 322810. Orders will be available for collection from the Great Western Wine Shop, Unit 3-4, Wells Road, Bath, BA2 3AP only. Please be aware handling time can be up to 48 hours (business hours) from point of ordering. You will be notified by the Customer Service team when your order is ready for collection. When collecting your order, please ensure you bring a valid photo ID, card used for payment along with a copy of your order. This can be a printed copy or you can show a copy of the email confirmation on your phone or tablet. If you are unable to collect your order within 30 days of purchase, your order will be cancelled and payment refunded.
