Tasting Note

Deliciously crisp and fresh, packed full of vibrant and long lasting lime, gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours.

This is one of our best selling white wines, and with good reason - we think it's one of the best Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc's we've tried under £10.

Product Information

Winemaking

This wine is made employing cool stainless steel fermentation to preserve the vibrant fruit character and freshness of this grape variety.

Press

  • Sauvignon blanc remains one of the favourite white wines of the nation, and is actually spot on for late Summer drinking. However, make sure you pick a good one – whilst some of the favourite brands are reliable, other Kiwi Sauvignons are worth avoiding . Try this one, for one of the most consistent, appealing, and food-friendly Sauvignons on the block. Bursting with passion fruit and zesty lime, it’s mouthwateringly delicious, vibrant and crisp, with a fabulous herb and lime edge, and squeaky clean finish. Perfect with the freshest of seafood, thai or Indian-spiced chicken and salads.

  • Back to its best...

We've been drinking The Frost Pocket since 2010and it's been fab! Sadly the 2016 vintage was a poor imitation (as borne out by other reviewers) and we knocked it on the head. We're glad to say the 2017 vintage is back to its best and we've been happily quaffing The Frost Pocket throughout this wonderful summer...

  • Not the quality that ir was last year.

This wine, which is yellower than before, is not a patch on what it used to be. I have been very disappointed in the years vintage, and will no longer by this as my favourite Sauvignon Blanc. This year,s vintage is definitely over priced and is no longer value for the money

  • Not what it was!

This has been my go-to Sauvignon Blanc for three years, consistently impressive and fabulous value.. but the 2015 vintage? Noticably more "yellow", it just tastes like a cheaper copy of what it once was.. I hope this is just a poor vintage, it happens, otherwise I'll be looking for an alternative sadly.
